It wasn’t meant to be a great “story” but just another structural device to keep the viewer occupied. It’s a music track with a “plot” thinly stretched over it. I thought it might be clever to turn this video into a mini-film with a semblance of a plot. A plot that has the same level of strategically naive incompetence and misdirected energy that is implied in the work of Date Farmers.

“This video was made by Steffen Bygebjerg for the song “End Scene”. The track is taken from Troels Abrahamsen’s album WHT from 2009. The animation work was made in Adobe After Effects. Each frame was then printed and the print was subsequently scanned back into the computer. The scanned frames were then assembled back into the original animation, now with a new rugged look, created by the visit in the physical analogue world. No effects added after scanning.”

“I graduated from the Glasgow School of Art’s graphic design course. This was my final project. Radiohead held an online contest to remix “Nude” from their album – “In Rainbows” This was quite a difficult task for everybody that entered, as Nude is in 6/8 timing, and 63bpm. Most music that’s played in clubs is around 120bpm and usually 4/4 timing. It’s pretty difficult to seamlessly mix a waltz beat into a DJ set. This resulted in lots of generic entries consisting of a typical 4/4 beat, but with arbitrary clips from “Nude” thrown in so that they qualified for the contest. Thom Yorke joked at the ridiculousness of it in an interview for NPR radio, hinting that they set the competition to find out how people would approach such a challenging task. I decided to take the piss a bit, as the contest seemed to be in that spirit. Based on the lyric (and alternate title) “Big Ideas: Don’t get any” I grouped together a collection of old redundant hardware, and placed them in a situation where they’re trying their best to do something that they’re not exactly designed to do, and not quite getting there. It doesn’t sound great, as it’s not supposed to. I missed the contest deadline, so I’m offering it here for you to enjoy.”

Me and my friends are a bunch of unemployed film makers in Iceland, lazing about in the economy crunch and decided to do an independent music video which would be like something we had never ever seen before ourselves. The outcome was a very violent and bloody but at the same time cheerful and spunky clip for icelandic popstar Berndsen.
Thanks to the economic crisis HD RED camera equipment could be rented for cheap, and all cast and crew was happy to give their work for the cause of using one sunday to do something that could maybe produce nightmares in one or two weakhearted people. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.

You better believe puppets. We’ve been trying to do something puppet driven for a lonnnng time. In the sharing spirit of Zune we collaborated with 72andSunny to write, design, direct and composite this undead film from start to finish. We partnered with our east coast homeboy Adam Parker Smith to build the grotesque felt puppetry. Big ups to everyone who helped out to make this thing come to life. Extra special thanks to Chromeo for laying down such a hot m-f track.

Im Jahr 2005 veröffentlichte er den Kurzfilm „Rubber Johnny“, der ursprünglich nur als Promotion-Video für den Titel „Afx. 237 v.7“ aus dem Aphex-Twin-Album „Drukqs“ geplant war. Der Film zeigt das Leben eines durch Inzucht gezeugten und von seinen Eltern in einem Keller gesperrten Kindes. Der missgestaltete Rubber Johnny bewegt sich in seinem Rollstuhl zur Musik und wandelt dabei seine Form. Obwohl brillant geschnitten und technisch perfekt umgesetzt, wurde der komplett durch ein Nachtsichtgerät gedrehte Film aufgrund der makaberen und verstörenden Bilder unterschiedlich rezipiert. Der Start des Films musste verschoben werden, da die Druckerei des Video-Booklets die Produktion aus moralischen Gründen boykottieren wollte. Die Plattenfirma Warp Records musste Cunninghams Artwork daher schließlich von einer anderen Firma produzieren lassen. Für den Clip wurde übrigens kein echter Behinderter gefilmt, Johnny wurde von Chris Cunningham selbst gespielt. (wikipedia.org)
